School Safety and Emergency Management

Community Conversations - January 2024

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Community Conversations meetings on January 27 at Penn Wood Middle School and January 29 at Penn Wood High School-GAC. It is extremely important to have as many voices present as we discuss safety and security in our schools. Please see the following documents for your reference:

Community Conversations - October 2023

Thank you to all who attended our Community Conversation sessions, in partnership with the Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU), on October 28 and October 30, 2023.

Community Conversations about school safety arose out of a request from families to have face-to-face discussions about this important topic. The district will continue to review and research information obtained from students and staff as we outline the next steps.

The feedback from these sessions that the DCIU recorded is linked below for the community to read and develop more ideas to help move the conversation forward. Please see the presentation here.
