Mrs. Elizabeth Brown
Mrs. Elizabeth Brown is the guidance counselor for the Class of 2020. She graduated at the top of her class from Penn Wood High School in 1997. She attended Johnson C. Smith University and in 2002, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English Education. In 2007, she earned her Master’s of Education in Counseling and Educational Psychology from West Chester University. Mrs. Brown began her teaching career at Penn Wood Middle School teaching English. In 2004, she taught English at Academy Park High School to 9th and 10th grade students. She came back to Penn Wood High School, in 2007, and started counseling the Class of 2013. She is the Senior Class Advisor. As a former student, returning to her alma mater and serving the community have given her a new sense of accomplishment and pride.

Ms. Amanda Cleveland
10th Grade Counselor (Class of 2022)
In 2010, she came back to Penn Wood High School and started counseling the Class of 2012. According to Ms. Cleveland, nothing has given her more joy and fulfillment than coming back home and giving back to the place where it all began.

Mr. William Garbe
Mr. William Garbe is a guidance counselor at Penn Wood High School for Class of 2023. From 1992-1996, he attended Elmira College, graduating with his Bachelor’s degree in education, minoring in social studies/history. In 2006, he earned his Master’s of Education in Counseling and Educational Psychology from West Chester University. Mr. Garbe started his educational career in the South Bronx, teaching social studies to 8th graders. From 2000-2004, he educated students at the Lincoln Center, an alternative educational program outside King of Prussia. In 2004, he taught social studies at Penn Wood West, until 2006 when he became a middle school counselor. In 2009, he was transferred to the high school, where he currently serves the Penn Wood students, school, and its community.
